Staying safe & well
Nobilis was created to provide a better type of care; delivered with kindness, dignity and respect.
We know that in-home care helps people with frailties to live independently in the home they know and love. Whether their needs are straightforward, and short term or complex and permanent, we have a care package to ensure you and your loved one feel safe, confident and fully supported.
Our starting point is always: “What can we do to improve this person’s life?” This means the care we offer ranges from one of our team popping in for just half an hour once a day, to regular morning, afternoon and evening visits or more.
We’ve also introduced the latest smart technologies into our care packages and can provide a ‘virtual window’ into your loved ones homes, so you can check on their wellbeing remotely, to give you, and them total peace-of-mind.
Working in close co-operation with you and your family – and medical professionals where necessary – we will create a personalised care plan, whatever the circumstances, and for as long as is needed.
Connected Care
Our smart technologies support the care we offer. From a family portal, to cameras and sensors, technology works hand-in-hand with our personal services.
We can give you a view into your loved ones homes so you can check on their wellbeing remotely and be alerted to any issues.
Smart sensors monitor key areas and activities in the home, and signal alerts if they detect an unexpected change in behaviour, or something that might cause concern. And while you can keep an eye on loved ones remotely, our carers are also there to act quickly, and provide support on the ground as needed. Here are just some examples of what we can install:
- Sensors (bed, motion, chair, electrical equipment)
- Cameras (front & back door / key rooms)
- In-home technology (Google home, family hub).
Home & Personal Care
Our incredible team of carers – many of whom come from nursing backgrounds – are matched to your loved ones needs. You may be looking for low-level assistance; perhaps while your loved one gets used to the idea of having some help, or more frequent and hands-on help.
Our carers offer help and support in many different ways, on a daily and weekly basis. From companionship, support with mobility, to regular daily tasks:
- Meal planning & preparation
- Light housekeeping/cleaning/laundry/ironing
- Shopping and/or escorting on outings to the shop, post office or library
- Collection of pension / paying bills
- Personal care assistance (bathing, lavatory, dressing & grooming)
- Help with medication, changing/emptying catheter bags.
Specialist Care
We work closely with doctors and district nurses to support clients with specific medical conditions. From those who want to be discharged from hospital early to recuperate after a major operation or accident, to those with learning disabilities, our experienced support workers can help:
- Medication needs
- Peg feeding
- Buccal Midazolam.
Our carers are fully-trained to deal with the specific demands of a wide range of conditions over-and-above the typical needs of elderly and frail customers, including: [each of the below will be a clickable link to download an information sheet]
- Dementia
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Cerebral Palsy
- Palliative care.
Independent, but not alone
Often, our clients are more than capable of doing things for themselves, but an event, such as a fall or a prolonged hospital stay, means they’ve lost their confidence. Whatever the reason, we’ll be there to support and encourage until that confidence returns.
One of the greatest benefits of in-home care isn’t the tasks we do for our clients; it’s about the companionship for people who often feel lonely, isolated or depressed about the physical, or emotional problems they face. We can help them keep in touch with their friends and neighbours as well as be their companion directly.
At Nobilis, we are proud to not only carry out tasks, but to improve quality of life through laughter, reminiscence and friendship. Because we care to make a difference.
We’re proud to have built our care service on the strength of our reputation and the exceptional high standard of care that we do. The recruitment, training and development of our carers is second to none. And so is our commitment to be the first in offering the latest technology to transform lives for the better, and keep your loved ones safe and well-looked after.
